Grover Corlew is headed by experienced real estate veterans who have worked together since 2002. The company’s early activities focused on the acquisition, development and redevelopment of office, medical buildings and land throughout metro Atlanta. In late 2006 the partners recognized pricing throughout the industry appeared unsustainable and liquidated nearly its entire portfolio with its last sale closing in December 2007.
In 2010 the Principals re-entered the market with a goal of creating a long-term platform offering steady and superior risk adjusted returns for private and institutional investors by acquiring and/or developing properties with unique and intrinsic long-term value potential.
Between 2011 and 2013 the Principals acquired several thousand value-add multifamily units throughout the Southeast, exiting a majority of the portfolio in 2014. During Grover Corlew’s ownership, each complex was repositioned in the marketplace resulting in record rental income allowing investors to harvest material gains above pro forma upon sale. Starting in late 2013, Grover Corlew pivoted its focus back toward office, medical office and retail properties throughout the Southeast developing and acquiring over 2 million square feet.
