Grover Corlew Celebrates the Grand Opening of Mayla Pompano

Mayla Pompano took center stage this month as Grover Corlew, a real estate investment management group focused on acquiring, transforming and managing office, multifamily and retail properties, celebrated the official grand opening of Mayla Pompano and the revitalization of 2335 Atlantic, an office and retail mixed-use project.

“Mayla Pompano is the first in a series of new ground-up luxury multifamily developments that we have underway in Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach and Delray Beach, “ said Partner Anuj Grover. “This is a milestone for Grover Corlew as we fulfill our long-term vision for this property in the heart of eastern Pompano Beach. We are particularly thankful to the City of Pompano Beach, the Pompano Beach CRA and our amazing team for all the hard work and collaboration needed to bring our vision to reality, which will have a significant impact on the future of Pompano Beach.”

City officials, community leaders, business partners and members of the development team gathered to celebrate the project’s completion with a celebratory ribbon cutting and tours of the property, offices and retail space.

“This project represents a true team effort, from vision to completion,” said Broward County Commissioner Lamar Fisher. “It’s a proud moment for Pompano Beach. We are excited to see its impact on our city.”

Pompano Beach Mayor Rex Hardin recalled how the project was first brought before the city in 2018, requiring significant decisions to move it forward. He expressed pride in how the development had raised the bar for future projects in the area, highlighting its importance to the local community.

Pompano Beach Vice Mayor Andrea McGee also shared her excitement about the project and praised the final product for exceeding expectations.

Located at 11 NE 24th Ave. in Pompano Beach, Mayla Pompano is adjacent to two Grover Corlew-owned and managed Class A office and retail properties at 2335 and 2401 E. Atlantic. Together with Mayla Pompano, Grover Corlew has invested over $200 million to create the mixed-use project, which includes ground-floor retail, restaurants and plaza areas to complement the Mayla Pompano lifestyle-oriented community.

“We’re excited to share that Mayla Pompano is already more than 75% leased, and our 2335 Atlantic office and retail complex nearly fully leased,” added Partner Mark Corlew. “This project has been a tremendous success, and we’re eager to continue that success as we grow the Mayla brand.”

Grover Corlew’s new 355-unit Mayla Pompano multifamily residence features exquisitely designed high-end studio to three-bedroom open floorplan rental units. Residents of Mayla Pompano have exclusive access to a clubroom, co-workspaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style pools with cabanas, bicycle storage, ample parking garages and more. Converging the living and working spaces, at the center of a 6,932-square-foot public pedestrian plaza, is a new public art installation called “Gather” by world-renowned San Francisco-based artist Michael Szabo.

Mayla Residences are being built throughout South Florida and beyond to mirror the personality of the local communities where they are located while also bringing an elevated quality of living to residents. Currently, the 312-unit Mayla Cypress Creek is scheduled to break ground in Fort Lauderdale in late 2024, while plans for a 360-unit Mayla Hillsboro and a 271-unit Mayla Congress are also underway in Deerfield Beach and Delray Beach respectively.
