Deerfield Beach, Fla. (September 9, 2019) – Grover Corlew’s Hillsboro Center in Deerfield Beach was a collection site for school supplies for the Broward Education Foundation’s Annual Back to School Drive.
Tenants from the six-story, 216,000-sq.-ft. Class A office campus at 600 and 700 West Hillsboro Boulevard donated in-demand school supplies including backpacks, glue, pens, paper, markers, folders, notebooks and more for students and teachers in need at Broward County Public Schools.
“Broward County students can’t achieve success without the proper tools, and we are happy to do our part in helping them kick off the school year,” said Partner Anuj Grover. “Broward Education Foundation’s annual drive provides supplies to those students who are most in need by allowing their teachers to select appropriate supplies for the classroom. This is a great way to ensure that each student gets exactly what they need to enhance their learning experience.”
All donated school supplies are available to teachers of Title I Broward County Public Schools who can shop for their students free of charge at Broward Education Foundation’s year-round School Supply Center.
“As parents we understand the importance of a strong educational foundation beginning as early as preschool. There is a tremendous need here in Broward County where half of all households can’t afford basic necessities, such as housing, transportation, healthcare and childcare,” added Partner Mark Corlew. “They shouldn’t also have to struggle to provide their kids with school supplies.”
