Shannon Brookshire loves numbers so it’s easy to see why she became a certified public accountant (CPA).
With more than 20 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and finance, Shannon joined Grover Corlew as Vice President, Accounting and Corporate Controller in 2013 where she oversees all company accounting related to treasury management, investor relations, new property acquisitions and corporate accounting. Shannon also supervises property accounting and regulatory corporate compliance, as well as all financial-related HR functions at Grover Corlew.
Prior to joining Grover Corlew, Shannon was Portfolio Controller for Wells Real Estate Funds, managing an office portfolio of approximately 35 assets. Previously, she was Director of Financial Reporting and Corporate Controller at Gables Residential Trust and served as an Audit Manager for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche.
Shannon received a Master of Science in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Michigan State University. She also holds a CPA designation from the Georgia State Board of Public Accountancy.
