POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (January 25, 2018) – Matthew J. Swanson has been promoted to Vice President of Asset Management of Florida-based real estate investment group Grover Corlew.
Swanson, who was promoted from Senior Asset Manager, will now oversee all asset management activities of the Grover Corlew real estate portfolio. Swanson is a 15-year real estate industry veteran with experience in acquisition, disposition, financing and asset management. He has been involved in the acquisition and disposition of approximately $3.5 billion of office, retail and multi-family properties over his career.
“Matt has been instrumental in repositioning our South Florida portfolio over the past three years,” said Partner Anuj Grover. “His extensive work throughout his career in commercial real estate over all asset types will benefit us as we continue to grow our portfolio across the Southeast U.S.”
Prior to joining Grover Corlew, Swanson served as Vice President for Atlantic Creek Real Estate Partners, a private equity firm located in Palm Beach, Fla., where he was focused on acquiring office, multifamily and retail properties with first class joint venture partners throughout the United States. Previously he served in financial management, due diligence and analyst roles in greater Chicago with the Inland Group of Companies, General Service Administration and DBSI.
Active in the community, Swanson is treasurer of the Wisconsin Alumni Association of Palm Beach and is a member of DePaul Real Estate Alumni, Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and Young Real Estate Professionals. Swanson holds a Real Estate Managing Broker License in Florida and Illinois.
Swanson graduated with honors with an MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment from DePaul University and received a BBA in Real Estate Finance and Urban Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Swanson is a resident of Pompano Beach.
